Prague to Tabor

Last night’s concert was just wonderful (Mum and Big Bro - you would have loved it!) - Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Pachelbel’s Canon and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons played by six members of the Czech Philharmonic.

When we came out, the sun was setting over the river, Prague is a very busy but stunning city.

Evan’s great skill is finding great restaurants and six of us had a delicious and ridiculously cheap dinner with melt in the mouth salt crusted sea bass - not exactly expected in the middle of Central Europe.

Cycling out of Prague this morning was somewhat stressful. The combination of city traffic, cobbles, tram tracks, speed bumps and following a Garmin route is hard enough without having to worry about what other cyclists (and rollerbladers wearing not much clothing) are up to. I was so much happier once we were onto open country roads in glorious sunshine.

The route today was hilly and hot, very similar to cycling in the Ardennes in July but with mostly incomprehensible road signs.

I managed to get stung twice today by kamikaze wasps flying into me on the bike - why?? One definitely died as a result of the expletives yelled at it.
Tonight’s hotel is the fabulously named ‘Wellness and Congress Hotel’ in Tabor.

I particularly liked the expressive church face on the way to dinner 😯

Dinner was dumpling free and delicious with the added bonus of a bit of Rolling Stones music on the walk back.

And today’s stats...
